Reflection is a key component of successful teaching. It allows a teacher to acknowledge learning activities that worked well and how they could be improved or modified for the future.
First Teaching Placement
During my first teaching placement I kept a general blog (see under Reflective Practice heading)
I also gave the students a questionnaire about my teaching and lessons for feedback from their perspective. They were all very positive responses with some excellent comments and a few suggestions for improvements which I tried to implement in my final week with them.

What has been your favourite thing about Mrs. Kusznir's lessons?
"The really fun activities that she sets up. It makes me want to come to maths more!"

Second Teaching Placement
During my second teaching placement, I chose to keep brief notes about each lesson on each lesson plan with my own reflection plus feedback and suggestions from my mentor teacher. With a heavier teaching load, I needed to find a method of reflecting on each lesson with notes to refer to in future that was very time efficient! Jotting down 3-4 key points about what worked well in the lesson and how I could improve along with mentor feedback literally took 5 minutes and will be enough to jog my memory when I next teach those topics.
Refer to unit plans for reflective practice.
I also give the students from two classes a survey to complete about my teaching toward the end of my practicum with some very positive comments.

Relflective notes on unit plans
As a full time teacher, I don't find time to write copious amounts of reflection so have found making notes on unit plans about things that worked well and things to change next time has to suffice!
